Tempered Glass Installation And Aluminum In Tagaytay City

Are you going to have tempered glass for your veranda? or is it a glass wall with a sliding door?

Then this article is for you. Here I will show you what we did in one of our projects in Bulalo, Tagaytay City. The project we will do is a resthouse, event place.

Let’s not take it any longer! Let’s get started.

The project consists of a sliding door, stainless steel and tempered glass veranda and fixed glass wall with awning windows.

THE PROCESS BEFORE GETTING A PROJECT

Since this is what our client wants, we went to the site to measure the areas to be worked on in our project.

Usually, the measurement is quick. Sometimes it doesn’t last an hour. after getting the measurements and making the quotation. We will send this to our client to find out if the price has been approved by them. Once the client has approved the quotation and the design they want, we just wait for the go-signal to start the project.

And because everything is approved by our client. We are going to our supplier(ERA) to buy and get the materials to be used.

MATERIALS TO BE USED

What we will need in our project are the following:

First, Aluminum – Aluminum is what makes up the frames, doors and window panels as well as the jamb.

The aluminums to be used are:

A. Tubular

B. Lockstile and Inter-locker

C. Head and Sill

D. Jamb

E. Perimeter and YC Panel

F. Angular (for brackets)

G Small Moulding

H. Panel Astragal

I. Accessories (forebar, bubble vinyl, cam handle, panel roller, screws, tox, SD roller, flush lock, jamb rubber, glass clip)

J. Sobc and clip

Second, Clear glass – clear glass is our client’s choice of color. There are many types of glass colors, one of them is clear, there is also brown, there is also one way color. clear glass will be used for sliding doors, awnings and fixed windows, and fixed walls. The glass we will use has a thickness of 6mm. This is the current standard thickness of a glass. but of course there are many thicker ones depending on what the client wants. As I said, the standard thickness is what we will use in the project.

Third, Tempered Glass – It is thicker and heavier than ordinary glass, but it is more expensive. another, the tempered glass is taken by us from the factory in Carmona, Cavite. Since the tempered glass plant is there it is ordered and available a week later.

So if you are going to have tempered glass made for your project, now you know that it needs to be ordered in advance to get it as soon as a week later.

Fourth, Tubular Stainless Steel – Tubular stainless steel will be used for the veranda. this will be the tempered glass frame. The veranda we are going to do has no roof so stainless materials were chosen by our client to be installed. We know that stainless does not rust so it is more suitable for areas that do not have a cover.

That’s it and our needs for the project are complete, we immediately started cutting the aluminum according to the sizes to be used.

The awning windows are built or assembled in our shop. but the long ones like the frames and panels that will be used as well as the sliding door will be built on the site. Because it will be difficult for us to transport to the site if we build the long aluminum ones right away.

TRAVEL TO SITE WITH MATERIALS AND TOOLS TO BE USED

That’s right and we have already shipped the materials that will be used as well as the tools that will be needed to install the project.

TOOLS TO USE:

1. Miter Saw

2. Angle Grinder

3. Welding Machine

4. Portable Screw

5. Cord Extension

6. Hand Tools (pliers, hammer, cutter, screwdrivers, glass cutter, caulking gun, sealant, allen key or hex key)

7. Impact Drill

THE PROCESS OF INSTALLATION

Glass And Aluminum Installation in Bulalo, Tagaytay City

Arriving on site, we first assembled the jambs and frames for the sliding door and fixed wall. using the miter saw and portable screw as well as the screw driver, we assembled the frames one by one.

We didn’t have any problems with the installation because we got the right size for the frames.

After assembling the frames, we immediately followed the sliding doors and also placed the SOBCs that will be used for the fixed glass.

We have also placed the awning windows on top of the fixed glass frame.

When we completed the installation, we just waited for the glasses to be delivered (there were a lot of glasses so we just had them delivered to our supplier) because they wouldn’t fit in our multi-cab service.

Well, it was quite dark when the glass delivery arrived, so we decided to install the glasses the next day.

The Next Day….

We immediately put the glasses in their respective places. After we made sure that the fixed glasses were in the right place and we had put clips and covers on the fixed glasses, we followed it up with sealant. The edges of the frames and the edges of the glass are coated with sealant for extra protection for stability and against rainwater entering the building.

When we finished the installation of the aluminum and glass… we immediately followed the installation of the stainless steel frame on the veranda. brought the welding machine and all our tools. We built the stainless frame one by one. to make sure our frame was strong, we sunk each frame post into the floor with a jackhammer.

Now that the stainless steel frame was complete, we waited for the tempered glass supplier to call if the tempered glass we ordered was ready for pickup.

Our tempered glass is said to be ready for pick-up, so we immediately traveled to Carmona, Cavite to pick up the glasses.

And when we got the glasses, we immediately brought them to our project to be installed on the stainless steel frame in Bulalo or Iruhin West, Tagaytay City to complete our project.

And we completed our project on time..so our client was very happy and gave us another project again.

So, that’s all for our blog, stay tuned for our next adventure projects.
